welcome to you avenue
Your personal space for self-care
and wellness.
Here, you'll find daily practices, mindset shifts, and strategies to nurture both your body and mind. It’s all about caring for the most important person in your life: you.
I’m not an expert in health and wellness by any means, and I would never claim that title. However, over the last few years, I’ve been working on getting to know the one person I’ll be with every single day of my life: myself.
I’ve been focusing on caring for myself in all aspects of health and wellness, not just to maintain a happy and healthy life, but also to truly understand who I am as a person.
Sometimes, we can get stuck in situations where we end up feeling lost. It happens to everyone at some point, and I’m sure we’ve all felt it, no matter how long or brief.
With my passion for cooking comes an awareness of food and its effects on our bodies—the good and the bad. I don’t eat clean 100% of the time, nor do I go the opposite direction. I strive to choose the best options for my body, but I also give myself the freedom to enjoy the things I love in life, like yummy food and a glass of wine… or two ;).
As we all know, mental health is another essential part of wellness. I’ve been doing my best to create a safe space for myself and take care of my mental well-being. As we grow, we can learn and improve each day, even if it’s just with small changes. Incorporating these thoughts has been such a vital part of my daily life. Anxiety and stress sometimes get the best of me, but I’ve found that focusing on what’s good in my life and being thankful for what I have brings me a sense of balance when those emotions overwhelm me.
The little things I do throughout my day when I feel my best help me stay true to myself, even when uncontrollable things happen outside of my sphere.
After 23 years of life experience, the wisdom from those around me, and the resources I’ve consumed, I’ve gathered thoughts, tips, advice, quotes, and more to help you get to know you a little better. I hope to share things that bring peace of mind, even if it’s just for a mere moment.
From series about learning to date yourself to daily habits that have helped me heal in various ways, there’s plenty here in You Avenue to inspire you to be present and grateful for the real you.
